Internationally recognised golf course

Backtee Course - European Tour banen

The newly re-constructed Backtee Course officially opened in April 2013 following one of the most extensive golf course renovations in Scandinavian history.

The course was designed by the internationally renowned golf course architect Philip Spogárd and was constructed by David Nelson, with Per Gundtoft as an advisory consultant. The work has resulted in international recognition of the course’s quality, as Backtee Course is, from August 2014-2016, hosting the European Tour tournament, Made in Denmark.

Fun and challenging for everyone

The course is beautifully situated in the characteristic landscape and there is plenty of space between the holes, creating a wonderful back-to-nature experience. The bunker style is noticeably different from anything seen in Denmark until now, giving the course a unique character and emphasising the scenery.

During the reconstruction, the course was significantly optimised, making it fun and challenging for everyone. There are now 5 different tees, meaning the course can by played by all levels of golfers and providing a variety of experiences depending on handicap and ability.
